music speaks what the soul feels #92 complete!

Well I can proudly say I learned how to download music for my ipod and found songs that get me moving and grooving!

I however have discovered I suffer from music bi-polar disorder. I never knew that I had as wide of a range in music love as I do, which is a good thing but it makes my play list a bit strange to say the least, lol.

Charity walks

I want to start my list with the websites for some of the charity walks I want to do. I would like to sign up for my first one starting in the spring.

Oct 2009 Light the Night for leukemia

May 2009 arthritis walk

March or April 2009 MS walk

Need to contact Arkansas Chapter for ovarian cancer http://www.ovarian.org/

Still would like to find one for cerebral palsy/epilepsy, and possibly breast cancer or another charity. I also need to find a run to do.

The next thing on my list....

I've completed a few things so need to do a quick update. It feels good to be moving forward when alot of my life seems to be sitting still or going backwards.

#10 is marked off the list as I sent Corey, my parents, my girls and ever their step-sibblings some just because treats! They all loved everything and made getting the mail a bit more pleasant then the normal bills we all tend to get to many of, lol.

#66 is also off my list! I decided enough of the frumpy look all the time and bought some makeup. I lost all of mine in TX some how/some where and haven't worn any for close to a year...or more. It felt nice to look how I feel inside.

#91 is one down and 32 more to go (and half of one of those is done). I just finished "The Next Thing on My List". It is a fun and very easy book to read. Becki loaned it to me just as I was writting my list for this project, very fitting for my life and this journey.

Changes...

As always my life is about change so now is no different. As many of you know I am going through a difficult time and some major changes are on the horizon because of this some of my goals will be changing....
but that's how life goes and how we grow!
From this I will become a bigger and better person, stronger and happier!
Life is a journey and it's all about accepting the ride you are given.

I have meet a few of my goals, and will update those in a few... just wanted there to be no shock when a goal is suddenly different from before.

Dancing in the rain!

Yesterday was a very rainy day which was started in a very sour mood. I was trying to get into a happy mood by enjoying the rain and coolness that we had when Tom took me by the hand and led me out onto the walkway and started dancing with me. We didn't dance for long but it was wonderful to let the drops take away my mood.

update!

Monthly family dinner!
Well I hadn't really planned for it but decided one day to make chinesse for everyone so we had a stir fry and homemade egg rolls.
Not sure what I'll plan for Oct and knowing me it'll be just a spur of the moment thing.

I've been walking and wearing my pedmoeter for that and sometimes around the house.
Not much else has been going on, I kind of like the goals just happening and not all forced.

a half goal!

Cloud watching is something I have always loved doing. Just a spur of the moment seeing something cool in the sky... makes you laugh, makes you smile, and almost always makes you wonder "am I the only one who sees THAT!"

Well I had planned on taking pics of my cloud watching adventure to share, but then it just happened... I looked up and there in the sky was a face profile, that changed into Marge Simpson, then a dogs face profile, and lastly a gorilla. Sooooooo I didn't have a cam handy for pics, which is why this is half a goal meet. I watched that one cloud change shape for a good 20 minutes, laughing and pointing out the shapes to Tom so he could see the amazing art work of nature. Once more I was taken to past summers of fun...
Laying in the grass with my nana, laughing and giggling...sometimes telling nana she needed glasses if she couldn't see what I did, and she'd giggle back maybe I was the one that needed them... or maybe it was pound cake and pickles I needed soooo off I'd dash into the house for a fav treat, one that hasn't been eaten in almost 25 (since losing nana)
Memories of camping with my family, as recent as this summer.... laughing as a child with my parents and then as a parent with my children. Lake water cooling our sun burned bodies and laughter warming our soul.
And then the memory of one of the hardest laughs I've ever had with my sons. In 2005 just before moving back to TX we were walking home from Taco Bell, it had been storming (we had a small hurricane/tropical storm) pass over and Corey had found $20 in the pool from the storm sooo we went to celebrate leaving what we had come to hate (FL)... on the walk back Corey pointed to the clouds laughing so hard. Michael and I looked up and there was a giant penis (and it was very graphic so you couldn't have seen anything but that), and well we all ended up sitting on the sidewalk laughing so hard that even the clouds thought ill of FL (kind of it calling the state it's own name) people driving by thought we were insane, and well maybe by that point we were but it will always be something we laugh about...to this day it's a snorting laugh memory.

Memories like these, moments like these remind me to enjoy your everyday. There is beauty and laughter in everything if you just take the time to look and enjoy.

Childhood memories!

Goal #39 was a chance to relive some of my childhood by chasing down the icecream truck and getting a childhood favorite. While times have changed prices it hasn't changed the lines, stupid boys not making up their minds, moms complaining to the kids they need to hury up, and my ability to taste the icecream before the ordering it... what sweet memories.
I ordered my old fav with a new twist. The Pushup Pop! Instead of the normal orange I ordered the rainbow... blue rasberry, lime, and orange. Yummmmmmy!
Then I came inside to enjoy it, we have no curbs or steps at the house to sit on plus it's hot and unlike when I was a child I don't do heat, lol

I enjoyed this walk down memory lane so much I think I will do it more often and maybe next time he'll have the snowcones... or better yet maybe there is a special snow cone truck that will make it's way through the neighborhood.

Fiddler on the roof what sweet memories you bring.....

Goal #73

Well I have completed the goal of painting the room. I changed colors and well this is a bit more peachy brown than I thought but I think it's going to work... it has to because I'm not repainting anytime soon. Sooooo I'll just have to find curtains, shelves, and pictures to help cover some of the wall and I'll be totally happy at that point.

Here's what the room looked like before

Then I put on primer

Then paint... it's Pecan Twist (the blue around the top is painters tape)

I am still going to do the bath but haven't 100% decided what I'm doing. I am thinking of taking the brown from the bedroom and adding a bit of white to make it a bit creamier. I'll post pics of it once I'm done.

now on to the next goal *woohoo*

Bedroom update!

Well I was finally able to get into the room to start the painting, it took them forever to get stuff out and they had actually left some stuff that I packed up and moved out of the way, lol.

I ended up changing my mind on the paint color, this really shouldn't surprise many people since this is a pretty normal thing for me to do. I went to get the paint today and I rounded the corner where the swatches were and this creamy brown jumped out at me... so the color is Pecan Twist!
Now I knew that had to be the color because it takes me 20 min. just to pick a gum flavor... Tom was beyond shocked that I was able to just say this is it and no second guessing, he didn't even complain about it being brownish (he's least fav color)

I was just able to get primer up today so tomorrow will be the paint and I'll post pics. I took some of the before earlier.

I haven't 100% decided on the accesories in the bathroom (which will be painted the Pecan as well) or curtains for the room, right now there's generic blinds. I've decided that Tom can maybe help in picking that, maybe being the key word, lol.

I've also started my book for the month, Becki sent it to me. It's really awesome and I'll share the name and review once it's finished and marked off my list.

ok well it's late....
Hope everyone is having fun with their goals.

ohhh and I've been posting my jokes of the day in my journal on MLW if anyone wants a giggle or 2.

You color my world... goal # 72!

or atleast my room, lol.

Tom and I have finally agreed somewhat on a color for the room and bath. I normally go with very deep rich tones but have been encouraged to break free from that and go with something more light and airy...spa like. (Tom is very thankful to Michael for this)

So I have picked a few shades of greens, I still need to see them in person to make sure they aren't terrible but the choices are from Valspar. Apple Slice, Afternoon Delight (it looks a little dark online), Lime Sherbert, and Limescent. The other colors will be creams and browns.

We'll get the colors this weekend and I'll paint on Sunday more than likely and move all our stuff in on Monday.

Now to figure out the rest of my spa plans.....

What inspired my title...

I love the movie Rent and wish I could have seen it on stage. The entire sound track was awesome but Seasons of Love made me think, just as this challenge with my goals is making me. What is really important to me...Dancing in the rain, learning something new, telling those around me just how much they mean to me..... it is a journey into my soul. To me this is much more than a list of 101 goals, it's a begining of what and who I want to become, where I want to be in life... what little pieces of me have I lost and need to find again.

Seasons of Love from the Rent soundtrack

Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes,
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Moments so dear.
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?

In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights
In cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.

In five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure
A year in the life?

How about love?
How about love?
How about love? Measure in love

Seasons of love. Seasons of love

Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes!
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Journeys to plan.

Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure the life
Of a woman or a man?

In truths that she learned,
Or in times that he cried.
In bridges he burned,
Or the way that she died.

It's time now to sing out,
Tho' the story never ends
Let's celebrate
Remember a year in the life of friends
Remember the love!
Remember the love!
Seasons of love!

Oh you got to got to
Remember the love!
You know that love is a gift from up above
Share love, give love spread love
Measure measure your life in love.

How will our moments be measured???
