Cloud watching is something I have always loved doing. Just a spur of the moment seeing something cool in the sky... makes you laugh, makes you smile, and almost always makes you wonder "am I the only one who sees THAT!"
Well I had planned on taking pics of my cloud watching adventure to share, but then it just happened... I looked up and there in the sky was a face profile, that changed into Marge Simpson, then a dogs face profile, and lastly a gorilla. Sooooooo I didn't have a cam handy for pics, which is why this is half a goal meet. I watched that one cloud change shape for a good 20 minutes, laughing and pointing out the shapes to Tom so he could see the amazing art work of nature. Once more I was taken to past summers of fun...
Laying in the grass with my nana, laughing and giggling...sometimes telling nana she needed glasses if she couldn't see what I did, and she'd giggle back maybe I was the one that needed them... or maybe it was pound cake and pickles I needed soooo off I'd dash into the house for a fav treat, one that hasn't been eaten in almost 25 (since losing nana)
Memories of camping with my family, as recent as this summer.... laughing as a child with my parents and then as a parent with my children. Lake water cooling our sun burned bodies and laughter warming our soul.
And then the memory of one of the hardest laughs I've ever had with my sons. In 2005 just before moving back to TX we were walking home from Taco Bell, it had been storming (we had a small hurricane/tropical storm) pass over and Corey had found $20 in the pool from the storm sooo we went to celebrate leaving what we had come to hate (FL)... on the walk back Corey pointed to the clouds laughing so hard. Michael and I looked up and there was a giant penis (and it was very graphic so you couldn't have seen anything but that), and well we all ended up sitting on the sidewalk laughing so hard that even the clouds thought ill of FL (kind of it calling the state it's own name) people driving by thought we were insane, and well maybe by that point we were but it will always be something we laugh about...to this day it's a snorting laugh memory.
Memories like these, moments like these remind me to enjoy your everyday. There is beauty and laughter in everything if you just take the time to look and enjoy.
